I show you how I spice up the famous Primanti Bros sandwich from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have never been a fan of the coleslaw. It is bland and flavorless and combine with two large slices of bread and frenchfries it lacks flavor.
I used a variety of meats in this version but you can use the meat of your choice in this blue collar sandwich. The idea behind this is that contained bread, meat, cheese and veggies in one easy to carry meal.
I am sure the diehard Pittsburgh fans will not be thrilled with the bread. It is usually sliced like a giant piece of Italian bread. I used Panne Italian sliced like this but either way it will be fine. I added my favorite Hot Chicago Style Giardiniera. You can find this in Chicago or the Pennsylvania MararoniCompany at Pittsburgh’s Strip District.
