Ingredients
- Chicken Marinade
- -4 chicken thighs
- -2 cloves of fresh garlic
- -2 t of soy sauce
- -1 1t mirin(rice wine vinegar)
- -1-2 t of chili infused sesame oil(or regular)
- Sauce
- -1 C of diced white onion
- -4 dried hot peppers
- -2 cloves of garlic
- -1/2 t of fresh ginger
- -1 T oil
- -1/2 C of fresh red peppers sliced
- -1 to 2 C of broccoli
- -1/4 C of weak chicken stocks
- -salt to taste
- -2t to 1T soy sauce
- -1/4C black vinegar
- -juice of 1 orange
- -1t hoisin sauce
- -1t sesame oil
- -2T sugar (or to taste)
- 1T corn starch and cold water
- Chicken
- -1 egg white
- -1/2 C corn starch or potato starch
- -Oil for frying
Instructions
- Chicken Marinade
- -Trim off fat and dice into 1 inch squares
- -add rest of ingredients, mix and refrigerate for 2-24 hours
- Sauce
- add oil to hot pan
- saute onions, peppers and salt for 5 minutes
- add red peppers, garlic and ginger and saute for 2 minutes
- add broccoli
- add rest of ingredients mix and set aside
- Chicken
- add egg white to chicken marinade and mix
- heat oil for frying chicken to 325 degrees
- coat chicken in corn starch and add to oil
- cook on both sides to really light golden brown
- remove from oil in paper lined bowl
- fry chicken a second time until golden brown
- mix with sauce and serve
