How to make a great regular and spicy queso blanco dip out of the the same base.  Make sure you use a  good cheese.  If you by junk it won’t be as good.  this is real simple and easy to make.

Queso Blanco Dip X2 Episode 4 Part 2

Ingredients

  • Queso Blanco
  • - 1/2 C sweet white onion finely chopped
  • -3 cloves of fresh garlic chopped
  • -1 fresh jalapeno pepper finely chopped
  • -1 teaspoon freshly ground cumin
  • -2/3-3/4 C of half and half
  • -1/4lb good quality deli white american cheese
  • Queso Blanco Spicy Version
  • -add 1 freshly ground chipotle pepper (seeds and everything except stem)
  • -1 freshly ground Guajillo chili
  • -1/2 C of diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 C of diced green chiles

Instructions

  1. Directions
  2. saute onions in 1T Olive oil for minutes over medium heat
  3. add garlic and saute for another 5 minutes
  4. add spices and jalapeno and saute for 2 minutes
  5. add half of half and half
  6. slowly add cheese while stirring
  7. add half and half until dip gets consistency you want
  8. serve chips and enjoy
  9. Spicy Version
  10. add ground chili peppers with cumin
  11. add diced tomatoes and green chiles after cheese is melted
  12. serve with chips and enjoy
